“As Charleston continues to grow and evolve at an incredible pace, there’s an opportunity to strengthen the marketing community that helps shape the future of our city while staying true to the history and culture that make Charleston so unique,” said Charleston AMA President Jake Kozmor. “This year, our board is focused on expanding how we engage with the Charleston marketing community through our programming, providing opportunities for marketers at every stage of their careers. We have been hard at work preparing for the second annual Campaign in a Day, which brings students and industry professionals together to create real-world marketing campaigns for local nonprofits. Last year, more than 20 students and professionals helped four nonprofits, providing them with free marketing materials. Together, we’re looking forward to continuing to build on past years of success and serving the marketers who call the Lowcountry home.”
The board transitioned in late-July and already has events, workshops, and initiatives for the upcoming year. Their next event, 4 Chairs: Women in Communications, will take place on September 21st at the Harbour Club at WestEdge. The event will feature a panel of four accomplished female marketing and communications professionals who will share their experiences, insights, and perspectives on building successful businesses, navigating challenges, and continuing to grow and succeed in the industry.
