Charleston County School District (CCSD) recognized six "Star Principals of the Year" on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. They were nominated by their peers and selected through a competitive application process based on their leadership and work to improve student outcomes and implement strategic change.
The 2025 CCSD Star Principals of the year are:
- Becky Accola (Rookie Star Principal) - Carolina Park Elementary School
- Vanessa Brown (High School Learning Community) - Cooper River Center for Advanced Studies
- Judith Condon (Elementary Learning Community) - Johns Island Elementary School
- Chris Haynes (Middle School Learning Community) - Jerry Zucker Middle School
- Corey McDonald (Rookie Star Principal) - Septima Clark Academy
- Paul Pallagi (Elevation Learning Community) - Pinehurst Elementary School
They will be honored at the district's annual gala on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, along with Teachers of the Year from each CCSD school.
