CARTA released the following statement from Board Chairman Mike Seekings after a person was shot and killed on a CARTA bus in North Charleston on Monday:
“First and foremost, everyone at CARTA’s thoughts are with the victim and the victim’s family following today’s tragic and needless incident. Violence of any form cannot and will not be tolerated anywhere in our community. Our staff is working closely with law enforcement officials as the investigation into this isolated matter continues.”
