The Carlos Dunlap Foundation, founded by retired NFL star Carlos Dunlap II, today announced the annual Carlos Cares Weekend will take place from Friday, June 6th to Sunday, June 8th, 2025. This three-day event is dedicated to empowering youth from underserved communities through entrepreneurship, education, and athletics.
Here's a look at the schedule:
Friday, June 6, 2025 – One & Dun Business Bootcamp
Aimed at bridging the gap between post-high school life and career-ready resources, the One & Dun Business Bootcamp offers participants two dynamic tracks tailored to different age groups:
- Track 1: Ages 12–17
- Track 2: Ages 18+
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Royal Baptist Church, aspiring young entrepreneurs will gain invaluable insights into business development, financial literacy, branding and leadership. This bootcamp reflects the foundation’s commitment to helping youth pursue entrepreneurial aspirations with fewer barriers. New this year, we’re offering tailoring sessions for adults.
Saturday, June 7, 2025 – Football & Cheer Skills Camp
Get ready for action-packed excitement as youth athletes are invited to Fort Dorchester High School from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the Football and Cheer Skills Camp. Participants will sharpen their skills, train with expert coaches, and enjoy a high-energy atmosphere full of teamwork, motivation and FUN.
Sunday, June 8, 2025 - Carlos Cares Pop Up
We're opening our doors again for an Elite shopping experience. Items for both men and women ranging from Ralph Lauren linens to adult underclothing.
These events align with the Carlos Dunlap Foundation’s vision: to see more youth from marginalized communities pursue entrepreneurial or secondary educational opportunities.
“Carlos Cares Weekend is more than an event, it’s a movement,” said Carlos Dunlap II, founder of the Carlos Dunlap Foundation. “Our goal is to empower young people and the community with the tools they need to succeed in life, both on and off the field. Whether it's starting a business or scoring a touchdown, we want them to believe that they can do it, and that they’re not alone.”
Join the Carlos Dunlap Foundation for an unforgettable weekend of learning, mentorship, athletic development and community connection. Let’s build a future where every young person has the opportunity to thrive. To register for any or all weekend events visit www.TheCarlosDunlapFoundation.
