Earth Heart Growers is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the BOSCH Community Fund to support its upcoming "Seeds of Growth" Garden Teacher Workshop, taking place on April 5-6, 2025. This two-day professional development opportunity is designed to equip educators with the skills and knowledge to integrate garden-based learning into their curriculum.
Thanks to BOSCH’s generous support, scholarships will be available for Title-1 educators, ensuring that teachers from underserved schools have access to this transformative training.
The "Seeds of Growth" workshop will cover key topics such as:
- Sustainable Gardening Practices – Teaching students about food systems, soil health, and ecological responsibility.
- Outdoor Learning & Lesson Planning – Strategies for incorporating gardens into diverse subject areas.
- Child Development & Health Benefits – Exploring the impact of nature-based education on cognitive and emotional growth.
- Nutrition & Farm-to-Table Connections – Encouraging healthy eating habits through hands-on garden experiences.
“Garden-based education is a powerful tool for fostering environmental awareness, hands-on learning, and student engagement,” said Liz Ramirez, EHG Executive Director. “With BOSCH’s support, we can provide educators with the resources they need to create meaningful outdoor learning experiences for their students.”
Registration is now open, and educators interested in applying for a scholarship can visit Earth Heart Growers for more details.
