UPDATE on 8/21/26 - Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department advises the customers of Bent Creek Drive, Hidden Forest Lane, Burkeshire Court, Rice Mill Drive, Aspen Woods Lane, Lavender Lane, Sawmill Trace Lane, Saddle Creek Court, Buttonwood Court, Trevor Street, and Water Ash Way they no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.
Following an intense flushing of the water distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected by the Department and analyzed by our laboratory. The results of this sampling indicate that the water system is now safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes.

The Dorchester County Water and Sewer Department is issuing a Boil Water advisory for all of Bent Creek Drive, Hidden Forest Lane, Burkeshire Court, Rice Mill Drive, Aspen Woods Lane, Lavender Lane, Sawmill Trace Lane, Saddle Creek Court, Buttonwood Court, Trevor Street, and Water Ash Way. This advisory is being issued due to an emergency water line repair.
When the water supply is restored, customers are advised to boil their water vigorously for at least one (1) full minute before drinking or cooking. Also, any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes. Notification will be given as soon as the water is safe for consumption.
