Berkeley County Library System (BCLS), offers "Disaster Preparedness and Recovery Resources," to assist individuals in emergency preparation and navigate the recovery process. BCLS offers resources and tools, informational materials, computers, laptops, hotspots, printing/copying/scanning/
BCLS will collaborate with Berkeley County Emergency Management, non-profit organizations, and community partners, to assist with the delivery of information and resources for disaster preparedness and recovery efforts.
BCLS disaster preparedness and recovery resources:
- Printing/Copying/Scanning/
Faxing Services: For printing, copying, scanning, and faxing important documents. (NO LIBRARY CARD REQUIRED)
Public Workstation, Internet, WiFi: Access documents, websites, communicate with family/friends, file claims, and other digital resources. (Guest Internet Library Card available)
- Mobile Hotspots with LTE Data: Data and internet accessibility for up to 10 devices to access preparedness and recovery resources and information. (Berkeley County Library System Library Card required)
- Meeting | Conference | Study Spaces: Meeting spaces to meet with Insurance/recovery representatives.
- Digital Newspapers: Coverage of local and national newspapers including disaster-related event reports to be used for recovery/insurance/historical documentation. (Berkeley County Library System Library Card required)
- Library Arts and Crafts: Children, adults and caregivers are invited to participate in a variety of stress-reducing arts and crafts for FREE recreation and inspiration. (NO LIBRARY CARD REQUIRED)
- Library Activity and Coloring Sheets: Provides young children the ability to relieve stress and inspire creativity. (NO LIBRARY CARD REQUIRED)
