The Charleston County Community Development and Revitalization Department has added additional public workshops to assist residents who are interested in applying for the Well, Septic Tank, and Connection Program.
This program provides safe water and wastewater or sewer systems for income-eligible residents by replacing failing wells and septic systems, providing maintenance services for wells and septic systems, and assisting with the cost of impact fees, tap fees, and plumbing fees for connection to existing water and sewer infrastructure.
To qualify for this program, residents must:
- Reside in Charleston County.
- Provide proof of ownership or ownership interest in the case of heirs’ property.
- Be the owner's primary residence.
- Meet the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Income Limits Guideline.
