Young Moms Together invites donors, local leaders, stakeholders and media to celebrate the grand opening of its newest residential home with a housewarming ceremony on April 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at a private residential location in Charleston (location provided upon RSVP).
Formerly known as Florence Crittenton Programs of South Carolina, the organization rebranded to Young Moms Together last year, marking a new chapter in its long-standing mission. After more than a century of service — including operating out of its historic St. Margaret Street building since 1897 — the transition reflects a more modern, community-centered approach to supporting young mothers.
The new home represents an evolution in how Young Moms Together supports young mothers and their children. Located within a neighborhood and designed as a typical home, the space offers a more immersive, home-like environment where residents can develop life skills, build confidence and create stable futures for themselves and their children.
“Today is about opening more than a door — it’s about opening opportunity. Every young mother who walks into this home will be met with dignity, care and the belief that she and her child deserve to thrive,” said Cheryl O’Donnell, executive director of Young Moms Together.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the new residential space, meet the team and learn about programs and services.
