Waccamaw Community Foundation, the Waccamaw region’s only community foundation, is home to the area’s Disaster Relief Fund which is the primary point of financial donations for all disaster relief and recovery efforts in Horry, Georgetown, and Williamsburg counties.
Waccamaw Community Foundation collects and distributes funds through members of the regions VOADs (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster), local organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Catholic Charities, and other locally based relief organizations in the wake of natural disasters such as hurricanes and flooding. The purpose of this fund is to make grants to organizations offering relief after a declared disaster event (Federally Declared).
The Disaster Relief Fund is designed to support immediate relief efforts as well as long-term recovery efforts when the need arises.
Individuals, businesses, and groups who would like to donate to the Disaster Relief Fund may do so at www.Waccamawcf.org or at the QR code provided so that relief organizations that respond quickly when disasters happen.
