The Cooper, an upcoming luxury waterfront hotel in downtown Charleston, is now accepting reservations for stays beginning March 1, 2026. Overlooking the Charleston Harbor just steps from Joe Riley Waterfront Park, the 191-room property will feature high-end amenities, waterfront dining, and more.
“The Cooper will stake its claim as a vibrant waterfront destination, inviting both locals and travelers to experience Charleston in a new way,” said Casey Lavin, president of Beemok Hospitality Collection (BHC). “This hotel will be a retreat and a gathering place in one — rooted in heritage, yet shaped for the city’s next chapter.”
Designed by Champalimaud Design and Atelier Kim, guest rooms will feature light oak floors, shiplap paneling, and serene neutral tones, many with private balconies overlooking the harbor.
The hotel will also introduce four distinctive dining concepts led by Executive Chef Nick Dugan, including:
- The Crossing, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant with a raw bar and harbor views
- CurrentBurger, a nostalgic burger shop and soda counter with walk-up service
- Cooper Coffee & Wine, a daytime café that transforms into an evening wine bar
- Bar Marti, a guests-only rooftop pool bar offering fresh fare and cocktails
Wellness amenities will include a 7,000-square-foot spa open to the public, featuring red light therapy, cryotherapy, and custom treatments. Guests will also have access to a rooftop infinity pool, on-site marina with private yacht excursions, and 20,000 square feet of event space, including a grand lawn and ballroom with harbor views.
As part of the BHC portfolio, guests of The Cooper can also enjoy privileges at The Charleston Place, Sorelle, and American Gardens, a new community greenspace downtown.
Reservations are now open at www.thecooper.com.
