Pet Helpers is proud to support the Charleston community by offering affordable pet care through its Community Vaccine Clinic this Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at James Island Town Hall. This low-cost clinic provides essential vaccinations to help keep pets healthy while easing the financial burden on local families.
This clinic is made possible in part thanks to the generous support of Renewal by Andersen, whose commitment to the community helps ensure that more pets receive the care they need.
"Veterinary costs have become a difficult burden for many families," said Melissa Susko, Executive Director of Pet Helpers. "We're proud to offer clinics like these that remove financial barriers to basic care. Ensuring pets are vaccinated not only protects their health, but also helps safeguard our community."
At this weekend’s clinic, pet owners can access rabies vaccines for $15, distemper vaccines for $15, or a combination of both for $25. In Charleston County, rabies vaccinations are required by law, making this clinic an important opportunity for pet owners to stay compliant while protecting their pets.
The clinic will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at James Island Town Hall, located at 1122 Dills Bluff Road in Charleston. No appointment is required; however, all dogs must be restrained on a leash, cats must be secured in carriers, and pets must be safely handled by the veterinary team in order to receive services.
Pet Helpers remains committed to providing accessible resources that support responsible pet ownership and help keep animals healthy, safe, and in the homes where they belong.
