Lowcountry Youth Services (LYS) today announced its annual Awards and Induction Ceremony, taking place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Royal Family Life Center, located at 4761 Luella Ave, North Charleston. This event will celebrate the outstanding achievements of youth participants and recognize the devoted mentors and community partners who help bring the organization’s mission to life.
The highlight of the evening will be a keynote address delivered by South Carolina House District 113 Representative Courtney Waters, a dedicated public servant and powerful advocate for education, equity, and youth empowerment. Her presence underscores the vital role of leadership and representation in shaping brighter futures for young people.
As the organization’s signature event, the ceremony will honor participants of the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Club (DGC) and Queens’ Being (QB) programs— mentoring initiatives that develop leadership, character, and academic success in youth across the Lowcountry.
“This celebration isn’t just about giving awards—it’s about affirming the purpose, progress, and potential of every young person in our programs,” said ReZsaun Lewis, Executive Director of Lowcountry Youth Services. “It’s also a moment to thank those who walk alongside them.”
Event Highlights Include:
- Keynote Address by Rep. Courtney Waters
- Youth Achievement Awards for leadership, service, academics, and personal development
