Do you have a cute dog? Of course you do! Then enter your dog(s) in the annual Lowcountry Dog Model Contest!
Lowcountry Dog Magazine is looking for some true Lowcountry Dogs. Whether they are a purebred, rescue, puppy, or senior, all dogs are welcome to enter.
Lowcountry Dog’s Spring Model Contest has been extremely popular for more than 15 years, choosing 12 dogs to be featured in their calendar, as well as one lucky dog to grace the cover of the magazine.
How to enter:
- Go to Lowcountrydogmodels.com through March 31
- Recently taken, clear photos that show the dog’s face and their ‘modeling ability’ are best. No other dogs or people in the photo, please!
- It’s best if your dog does well in front of the camera, is good off leash, and motivated to pose for the photos
- Puppies are adorable, but fully grown dogs are preferred! Puppies will grow and change between time of entry and the photoshoot
- Explain why your dog deserves to be a Lowcountry Dog Model. The judges also love hearing rescue stories!
- You may enter multiple dogs, but each dog must have their own entry
- $10 entry fee paid upon submission, with an optional additional donation. Entry fees and all donations collected go to supporting local rescues and shelters!
- Those who enter must be in the Lowcountry or willing to travel if needed for photoshoots
How our contest works:
- The judges select 40 dogs to receive a professional photoshoot with Clark & Chateau (There is a small sitting fee, but you will receive one image for your use.)
- With the professional photos, the 40 finalists will compete by popular vote on Lowcountry Dog’s website.
- The dog with the MOST popular votes from the Top 40 gets a cover shoot in the August 2026 Issue of Lowcountry Dog Magazine.
- The top 12 dogs will be 2027 Lowcountry Dog Calendar Models and each receives another professional photoshoot from Clark & Chateau, and pictures may be purchased for personal use!
