Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant has released The Gwynn’s Grand Holiday Book, Volume II, a nostalgic celebration of fashion, family and festive style inspired by Palm Springs circa 1967—the year the boutique first opened. This year’s theme, “A Holiday on Holiday,” captures a retro holiday aesthetic through Slim Aarons–style glamour marked by sun-drenched scenes, polished looks and playful nostalgia.
Photographed at The Ryder Hotel in downtown Charleston, the campaign blends vintage silhouettes and mid-century flair with the city’s modern elegance.
Inside the book, readers will find curated gift guides, family campaigns, team-favorite recipes and Charleston recommendations from the Gwynn’s staff—highlighting how style and community connect across generations.
Gwynn’s also partnered with Charleston artist Christy Kinard, whose colorful mixed-media work adds a painterly vibrancy to the project. Her signature style brings warmth, color and a celebratory spirit to both the book and this season’s visual identity.
“Nostalgia meets tradition in this year’s edition,” the Gwynn’s team said. “With the resurgence of retro fashion and silhouettes, it felt like the perfect moment to return to 1967—our founding year—and honor the timeless glamour that started it all.”
Shoppers can pick up a complimentary copy of the holiday book in store, along with this season’s collections. This year also marks the debut of the first annual Gwynn’s Ornament—a handcrafted Italian doll carrying a miniature Gwynn’s shopping bag, designed to become a long-term collectible.
The season will conclude with the boutique’s annual Client Holiday Soirée and Window Reveal, where media and invited guests will get a first look at the Extraordinary Gift of the Year: a $5.2 million Kwiat diamond necklace.
“It’s an exciting time to be at Gwynn’s,” the team said. “This season honors where we began—and where we’re headed next.”
