Dress for Success Charleston County will host their inaugural Little Black Dress + Tie fundraising event on Saturday, December 7, at the South Carolina Society Hall (72 Meeting Street). The event aims to be "a night of style, connection, and empowering stories that support women on their paths to economic independence." It will include a cocktail hour, a silent auction, dancing, and more.
The evening will spotlight the achievements of Dress for Success clients and honor the Your Hour, Her Power® awardees for 2024. Tessa Spencer, ABC News Anchor, will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies.
Featuring a mix of entertainment and engagement, the event will include cocktails crafted by the Cocktail Bandits, hors d'oeuvres, a photo opportunity provided by Banyan Media, and more. A fashion show by Edge Girl will spotlight the little black dress, symbolizing the evening's theme of empowerment and success.
“We are thrilled to host the Little Black Dress and Tie Fundraiser, an event that embodies our commitment to empowering women to reach their fullest potential," said Margaret J. Jefferson, Founder of Dress for Success Charleston County. "This is more than just a celebration—it's a pivotal moment for our organization as we continue to evolve and expand our programs to serve the women in our community more effectively. The funds raised will directly support initiatives that provide essential resources, training, and opportunities, helping women not only to overcome barriers but to thrive and achieve success in every aspect of their lives.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction, with proceeds directly benefiting Dress for Success Charleston County's programs. This is a chance for attendees to bid on exclusive items and experiences, knowing their contributions will make a significant difference in the lives of Tri-County women striving toward success and independence.
