Local reseller Chris Hale has announced the launch of Appraze, a web app built for pickers and resellers that calculates deal costs before a purchase, tracks inventory and helps write listings.
Hale built Appraze out of his own resale business, Cooper River Trading Co., now CRTC LLC, after years of buying and selling through estate sales, auctions and online marketplaces around the Lowcountry.
“Every picker has lost money on a deal that looked good at the table and fell apart at home,” Hale said. “I built the tool I always wanted — you run the numbers before you hand over cash.”
Appraze’s flagship feature is its AI Analyzer, which allows users to take a photo of an item and receive an appraisal-style breakdown that feeds directly into the app’s deal calculations. The app also tracks inventory across the business and assists with writing listings for resale platforms.
Pricing starts with a free tier offering five analyses per month. Paid plans range from $25-$200 per month, with discounts available for prepayment. A 14-spot free beta is currently available through Cooper River Trading Co.’s website.
The paid web app launched Sept. 29. Native Android, Windows and iOS versions are planned.
