Mount Pleasant Towne Centre today announced that construction is underway on two new storefronts, which will occupy the former Gap and GapKids spaces at 1229 Belk Drive. American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie are expected to open in those storefronts this fall.
“We are thrilled to welcome American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie to Towne Centre later this year,” said Towne Centre’s Marking Director Kathi Herrmann. “We have such a great variety of retailers who cater to the Mount Pleasant community and beyond, and these two storefronts will be a great addition for teens and young adults in the shopping center.”
The 9,977-square-foot storefront will house American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie’s connected retail spaces. American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. operates the two distinct lifestyle brands, American Eagle Outfitters and Aerie, both focusing on the 15 to 25-year-old consumer. The company was founded with one store in Novi, Michigan, in 1977, and today has over 1,000 stores worldwide.
