A Father’s Place (AFP) is hosting its June 2024 "Gradu-Up-Tion Celebration" on Friday, June 21st, at 6 pm at Royal Missionary Baptist Church, where the Honorable Reggie Burgess will be our guest speaker. This year, 37 participants – men and women – who have completed our 24-week fatherhood program will be graduating.
“I strongly believe that every child deserves to have a loving, involved and responsible father,” said Wallace Evans Jr., CEO of A Father’s Place. “Every year, I look forward to honoring our fathers for doing the work to better their families. For some, this is their very first graduation ceremony. When men finish our program, they have developed the knowledge, confidence, and skills to become responsible fathers and co-parents. Our participants don’t graduate out, they “gradu-up!”
Every 6 months, AFP’s Gradu-Up-Tion Ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate the work and dedication of each participant, recognizing their commitment to become better fathers. A Father’s Place is proud to host this event and will continue to support these fathers in their journey toward becoming engaged and responsible parents.
Dinner will be served at 6 pm, followed by a program and the presentation of the completion certificates to the participants celebrating the dedication and work that each of the men put into their journey to better fatherhood.
