The Elizabeth Gamble Foundation, in partnership with Flight Adventure Park, today announced the 6th Annual Pack the Back—Back to School Drive, taking place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 8551 Rivers Avenue in North Charleston.
Now housed under the Elizabeth Gamble Foundation, Pack the Back continues its legacy of providing vital school supplies and community resources to families across the Tri-County area. Organized by Tea Hines, founder of the foundation, this event has become a staple for families preparing their children for a successful school year.
This year, the foundation is preparing to serve over 500 students with fully stocked backpacks, free haircuts, access to educational resources, and family-friendly entertainment. Haircuts will be provided by a team of expert barbers from Celebritzy Barber Shop, helping kids head back to school with style and confidence.
Parents and guardians can register on Eventbrite to reserve backpacks for their children. Vendor spaces are also available, and a host of community partners will be on-site providing giveaways and information to families in attendance.
Community members who would like to contribute to this impactful event may do so by texting IMPACTPACK to 44-321 to make a secure donation. Volunteers are welcome and can sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0C4AADAC23ABFFC43-56934053-pack.
“Pack the Back is not just about school supplies; it’s about showing our children and families that they are seen, supported, and valued,” Hines said. “We are excited to see the event grow under the Elizabeth Gamble Foundation and reach even more members of our community.”
