Vicious Biscuit is mid-way through the countdown to the fifth anniversary of its Summerville location. To celebrate, the restaurant continues five months of surprises, celebrations, and more. Next on the agenda? Books for Biscuits.
“Part of our core values is giving back to our communities,” said Amanda Kahalehoe, chief operating officer of Vicious Biscuit. “It’s important to Vicious Biscuit and it’s engrained throughout our system. We’ve been hearing in the news that parents strongly feel their child’s learning has been negatively impacted since the pandemic, so we’re doing our part to help foster education – specifically reading. Most of us at Vicious Biscuit have children, so we know how vital reading is in their development – including the strengthening of parent-child bonds. So, we are partnering with our guests to prepare our youth for lifelong learning and success.”
From now until Sunday, April 27, 2025, guests can receive a free á la carte biscuit for every children’s book donated (Limit one free á la carte biscuit per person, per day). All books will be given to the Dorchester County Library – George H. Seago Jr. Branch in Summerville.
Vicious Biscuit is located at 206 Front Street in Summerville (Hours: M-TR 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., F-SS 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.).
