Beginning on Wednesday, January 8th, downtown restaurant The Matador will offer three non-alcoholic cocktails featuring Lyre's premium N/A spirits for those participating in Dry January or just looking for a tasty mocktail option. Lyre's is known for its award-winning flavors, low calorie and low sugar content, and naturally sourced ingredients that mimic classic flavors.
Here's a look at the menu:
- Scratch Margarita: This drink is a spin on Matador's house margarita. It's made with Lyre's Agave Blanco and Lyre's Orange Sec, plus fresh citrus notes from lime and orange, with a dash of agave.
- Pomegranate Mule: This cocktail features Lyre's non-alcoholic tequila mixed with a rich, fruity and lightly spicy chili-pomegranate syrup, fresh lime, and house-made ginger-orange syrup — served in the classic copper mug.
- Cucumber Paloma: Lyre's Agave Blanco blends with grapefruit soda for a refreshing drink that has a light sweetness and crisp effervescence. It's mixed with fresh cucumber and Lyre's Orange Sec to complement and intensify the citrus notes.
In addition, The Matador's new "fresh sheet" menu will also roll out on January 8th, with dishes like the carne asada lettuce wraps and Guajillo Chile marinated pork tacos, to pair with these N/A cocktails. The special menu and N/A cocktails will be available through February 18th.
The Matador is located at 235 Meeting Street.
