SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Since opening its first location in 1993, the Flying Biscuit Café franchise has spread its wings and taken off as a leader within the breakfast and brunch industry. With 15 anticipated openings in 2025, the chain is soaring right to Spartanburg, South Carolina, for the state's fifth location.
Flying Biscuit Café is known for serving fresh, southern-inspired breakfast, brunch and lunch options all day, seven days a week. With nearly 40 locations and counting, Flying Biscuit Café has established a strong presence in states such as Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Florida, the Carolinas–and soon Tennessee. 2024 openings brought over 150 jobs to local communities in Charleston, S.C., and throughout Texas.
In 2025, the chain is excited to expand its unique offerings to new markets, including Spartanburg, Tallahassee, Fla. and Jonesboro, Ark.
This latest expansion reflects the brand’s growing appeal to both new and seasoned franchisees, many of whom bring a varied experience from across the food service industry. The decision to expand into Spartanburg underscores the strong demand for Flying Biscuit in new markets, as more operators recognize the brand’s unique appeal and proven potential for success.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring the Flying Biscuit Café to Mobile,” says Andrew Scherzer, Vice President of Franchise Development. “The momentum we've built in 2024 has been remarkable, and expanding into a vibrant, fast-growing city like Spartanburg is a key step in our 2025 growth strategy. The enthusiasm and confidence from our franchise partners continue to drive our expansion.”
