Three months after announcing its intention to close, The CODfather Proper Fish & Chips has officially shuttered.
Owner Adam Randall shared the news on social media, writing in part:
“Well chippy fam, the time to say cheerio has come.
“When I designed and built this business 13 years ago, the world, and this industry, were very different places. The CODfather has, without a doubt, been a wildly successful venture. I achieved everything I set out to do here, and I’m incredibly proud.
“But like I’ve always said, I started this on my terms, and I’ll end it on my terms.
“I accepted an offer last week, and the decision has been made not to reopen the shop. We are now closed for business, effective immediately.”
The CODfather first opened in 2016 at 4254 Spruill Ave. in North Charleston.
