For the entire month of June, Slightly North of Broad (SNOB) is teaming up with Crown Royal in support of their Purple Bag Project, which helps send care packages to active-duty service members. For every one of SNOB's Carolina Old Fashioned's sold, Crown Royal donates and ships a purple bag packed with essentials to the troops.
SNOB's featured cocktail—the Carolina Old Fashioned—is made with Crown Royal whisky, housemade peach syrup crafted from local peaches, and classic Angostura bitters. Guests can even participate further by scanning a QR code on the SNOB menu to select which items are packed in the bag their drink helped to send.
Since SNOB launched the drink over Memorial Day weekend, they have already sold 98 cocktails, showing just how big an impact they can make by the end of June with the help of the community.
