Silver Dollar is introducing a new food experience through a collaboration with local concept FrankieRamen, bringing a rotating menu of ramen and Asian-inspired favorites to the bar’s kitchen.
FrankieRamen will operate out of Silver Dollar Tuesday through Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m., serving a menu that includes multiple ramen varieties alongside crab rangoon, dumplings, spring rolls and edamame.
The concept is led by chef Frankie T. Ferreira, a Charleston-based ramen maker known for bold, layered bowls and a growing following. Born in Newark, New Jersey, to Brazilian immigrants, Ferreira developed his craft through hands-on experimentation and a focus on flavor.
After relocating to Charleston, Ferreira spent months refining his ramen technique, studying traditional Japanese methods while developing his own style. His approach blends classic ramen fundamentals with personal expression, drawing inspiration from his travels to Japan and his culinary background.
Known for rich broths, house-made noodles and inventive bowls, FrankieRamen has built momentum through pop-ups and residencies across the city.
“This partnership brings something Charleston doesn’t see enough of — a true late-night ramen experience inside a high-energy bar setting,” said Steve Sher, owner of Silver Dollar. “Frankie has built something people actively seek out. Now it has a home multiple nights a week.”
