Several Shem Creek waterfront restaurants are joining forces for Crawlin’ on the Creek: Mardi Gras Edition, an all-day celebration set for Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, beginning at noon and continuing into the evening.
Participating locations — Water’s Edge Restaurant, Vickery’s Bar & Grill, Red’s Ice House, Saltwater Cowboys, Tavern & Table and Sunsets Waterfront Dining — will transform the creek into a Mardi Gras-inspired celebration featuring live music, themed drink specials, beads, swag and dock-to-dock festivities.
Guests are encouraged to stroll between participating venues throughout the day and costumes are encouraged.
Charleston Water Taxi will offer round-trip transportation from the dock at the Maritime Center downtown to Shem Creek for the event. Round-trip tickets are $20. Once on Shem Creek, complimentary bar-to-bar water taxi service will be available throughout the celebration.
“Crawlin’ on the Creek is a true celebration of what makes Shem Creek special,” representatives of the participating restaurants said in a joint statement. “This event brings together our waterfront community for a day filled with music, great food and drinks, and the kind of energy you can only find on the creek. We’re excited to welcome locals and visitors alike to celebrate Mardi Gras, Lowcountry-style.”
