Salthouse Catering announced the launch of Salthouse Commissary Kitchen, a newly updated, purpose-built culinary space located adjacent to its existing operation. The space has been fully refreshed and reimagined to serve Charleston’s growing community of culinary entrepreneurs, including food trucks, caterers, consumer packaged goods (CPG) businesses and more. The lease began Jan. 1, 2026.
Salthouse Commissary Kitchen offers nearly 14,000 sq. ft. of commercial kitchen and support space — over three times the size of comparable facilities in the area — making it one of the largest in the region. The facility provides flexible sublease options, access to commercial-grade cooking equipment, ample prep areas, storage and on-site parking, with designated access for food trucks.
Operated by Salthouse Catering co-founders Tanya Gurrieri and Chef Todd Mazurek, the space supports both long-term and short-term tenants, reflecting the team’s hands-on approach to mentorship, collaboration and day-to-day kitchen operations.
“Charleston has no shortage of culinary talent, but there are real barriers when it comes to access, space, and the infrastructure needed to grow,” said Tanya Gurrieri, co-founder of Salthouse Catering. “We’ve been in those shoes ourselves. This commissary kitchen is designed to create a professional, well-run environment where food entrepreneurs can focus on building their businesses, whether they’re just getting started or ready to scale. It’s practical, flexible, and designed to support the way people actually work within the F&B industry.”
In addition to kitchen access, Salthouse Commissary Kitchen includes flexible storage rentals, non-climate-controlled flex space and private room options. The facility is intentionally designed to foster synergy among its tenants, supporting a wide range of uses, from catering overflow and test kitchens to wholesale baking, beverage labs, artisanal ice production and boutique food brands looking to maximize production and scale for future growth and long-term success.
Tours of the facility are now available, with tenants expected to begin booking and moving into the space in early February.
