Rusty Bull Brewing Co. is serving up a sweet way to give back. The North Charleston brewery will host its first Pie-Eating Contest to Battle Pediatric Cancer on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 5 to 8 p.m., with proceeds benefiting pediatric cancer research at MUSC through the McConnell Foundation Junior Board.
Competitors can enter solo or as part of a four-person team. Each $10 ticket includes a pie, a Rusty Bull beer, and a chance to win $350 in house cash. Every participant helps fund critical research and provide support for families facing pediatric cancer.
“With such positive feedback from our annual summer hot dog eating fundraisers, we wanted to expand on those fun and outrageous, competitive eating-style events,” said Blake Overstreet, executive manager of bar operations at Rusty Bull Brewing. “The holiday season can be an especially difficult time for families affected by pediatric cancer, so partnering with the McConnell Foundation felt like a natural fit.”
Hosted by DJ Wild Bill, the event will serve as a lighthearted prelude to Thanksgiving while raising funds for a serious cause. Tickets are available at RustyBullBrewing.com/contest, and updates can be found on Instagram at @RustyBullBeer and Facebook at @RustyBullBrewingCo.
