The highly anticipated Pet Helpers’ Oyster Roast is taking place on Sunday, March 9, 2025. This rain-or-shine event includes an evening of all-you-can-eat oysters, chili, hot dogs, and complimentary beer, wine, and Bloody Marys – all in support of the animals of the Lowcountry.
The celebration also includes a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle with a big cash prize, and a selection of event merchandise.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to Pet Helpers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for and finding homes for animals in need. With the funds raised, Pet Helpers will continue to provide shelter, veterinary care, and community programs to improve the lives of animals across Charleston.
“The Oyster Roast is one of our favorite events of the year," said Melissa Susko, Executive Director of Pet Helpers. "It’s an opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate the animals of the Lowcountry in a truly fun, Charleston way. Events like these are crucial to ensuring that we can continue to care for the animals day in and day out. We are so grateful for everyone’s support and can’t wait to see everyone there!”
Join the fun from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Bowens Island (1870 Bowens Island Rd.). Tickets can be purchased at pethelpers.org.
