OPIE Drive-Thru Market is hosting its annual OPIE Community Giveback event on Friday, May 15, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 1735 N. Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant.
During the event, guests can purchase any drink and receive a free OPIE T-shirt and sticker, limited to one per person while supplies last. OPIE will donate 100% of sales during the event hours and then match that amount dollar for dollar, with no cap, through an additional donation to the Lowcountry Food Bank.
The event will feature OPIE Fountain’s “Six Favorites” dirty sodas, including The Ranger Roo, Tiki Tingle and Star of the Sea. Pup cups will also be available.
Last year, OPIE donated 100% of sales from its 2025 Swag Day, raising nearly $4,000 to help provide approximately 11,000 meals for local children, families and seniors.
“Partnerships like this make a real impact in the lives of our neighbors,” said Brenda Shaw, chief development officer for the Lowcountry Food Bank. “We’re grateful to the OPIE Drive-Thru Market team and everyone who shows up to give back. As the need for food assistance across our community continues, events like this help us reach more families and ensure our neighbors have consistent access to the nourishing food they need to thrive.”
“This is a fun, easy way for the community to support Lowcountry Food Bank,” said Bob Algard of OPIE Drive-Thru Market. “Pull up, grab a drink, get a free shirt and help us beat last year’s impact for local families.”
