Honeysuckle Rose, known for its tasting menus and concierge-style service, will welcome celebrated Napa Valley winemaker Steve Matthiasson on Thursday, Feb. 26 for an exclusive pairing experience.
The dinner, part of Honeysuckle Rose’s new wine series, will explore Matthiasson’s Napa Valley wines paired with a six-course menu from Executive Chef River Hill. The collaborative evening will highlight Chef Hill’s expertise in wild game, prepared with innovation and precision, alongside Matthiasson’s balanced, expressive wines.
The immersive experience will allow guests to expand their wine knowledge course by course, with Matthiasson and Hill presenting each dish in a welcoming, dinner party-style atmosphere.
Matthiasson is known for crafting elevated, balanced and sustainable wines, earning six James Beard Award nominations and accolades including Winemaker of the Year from Food & Wine and the San Francisco Chronicle. He also serves as a mentor to wineries throughout Napa Valley and is an advocate for several of California’s leading sustainability initiatives.
Honeysuckle Rose will host two seatings for the Matthiasson wine experience on Feb. 26, at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The dinner is $325++ per person. Advance reservations are required, and seating is extremely limited. Once reserved, the in-house concierge will work directly with guests to accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
