In advance of their late-summer opening, Merci, a European-inspired neighborhood bistro coming to 28 Pitt Street, will host its first pop-up event on Saturday, June 8th at babas on cannon, an old-world, European-inspired cafe located at 11 Cannon Street. The event will run from 6 pm to 9 pm.
The team at Merci plans to partner with their hospitality peers to host three distinct pop-ups throughout the summer in downtown Charleston, giving locals a taste of what is to come at the Harleston Village bistro.
To kick off the series, Merci and babas on Cannon will offer a selection of European-inspired small plates from their forthcoming menu, paired with cocktails and wine chosen and prepared by the babas team. Highlights include Merci Focaccia with stracciatella, balsamic vinegar and honey; snapper crudo with blackberry, cucumber-ginger gelee, hazelnuts, creme fraiche; Miso butter roasted shrimp with fennel, celery and miso aioli plus decadent desserts like chocolate hazelnut tart with Frangelico Creme Fraiche.
The pop-up is open to the public and is first come, first served. For information on future pop-ups and Merci’s journey follow along on social media at @mercichs and visit Mercichs.com to sign up for their newsletter.
