SUMMERVILLE, SC – Meals on Wheels of Summerville is inviting the community to celebrate the women who shape their lives at its second annual Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet on Sunday, May 11, at the Candlelite Pavilion at the Summerville Country Club.
The event will include two seatings, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., with a buffet of Lowcountry-inspired favorites and live music. All-inclusive tickets include brunch, entertainment, and two complimentary mimosas or Bloody Marys to toast the occasion. Tickets are $50 for adults and $20 for children ages 4 to 12. Seating is limited, and reservations are required by Monday, May 5, at www.mowsummerville.org/
“This event is a tribute to the women who have touched our lives with strength, care, and compassion,” said Crystal Bovell, executive director of Meals on Wheels of Summerville. “Whether it’s a mother, grandmother, neighbor, or mentor, this is a meaningful way to celebrate them while supporting our mission to serve homebound neighbors with dignity and love.”
The organization also announced the success of its second annual Dink and Deliver Classic pickleball tournament, which was held April 12 and 13 at The Pickle Bar in Summerville. The event raised more than $30,000, providing thousands of meals for homebound neighbors in the Summerville area.
More than 180 players participated in the two-day tournament, which brought together athletes, local businesses, and community supporters.
“The energy on the courts was incredible, and the generosity from our community was even more inspiring,” Bovell said. “This tournament continues to grow, and so does its impact on our mission. Every dollar raised goes right back into supporting our neighbors.”
Meals on Wheels of Summerville delivers more than 1,300 meals each week on 23 routes, made possible by generous donors and community support, without government funding. For information on volunteering, sponsorship opportunities, or upcoming events, visit www.mowsummerville.org.
