Charleston’s only Malaysian restaurant, Makan, has launched a new Happy Hour (or “Jam Gembira” in Malay) that is served Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the bar and communal table.

- $12 Bak Kwa (Chinese Pork Jerky): Tender pork marinated in Shaoxing wine and Sambal Oelek
