While March 23 might be a normal day for most of South Carolina, Ma’am Saab and Malika, South Carolina's only Pakistani restaurants, will be celebrating Pakistan Day and invite everyone to join them.
Traditionally, Pakistan Day celebrates the adoption of the country’s first constitution and Pakistani culture. While the largest festivities happen in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, parades also occur in New York and New Jersey.
Since they first opened, Ma’am Saab and Malika have blended their South Asian heritage, Canadian memories, and Lowcountry roots in dishes like Masala Poutine, Chicken Tikka Pizza and the Ma’am Saab Smash Burger, while always keeping Pakistani culture at the forefront of their mission. In addition to their normal menu, the restaurants encourage diners to explore new dishes like their new limited specials, Lamb Biryani and Charga Wings.
Ma'am Saab is located at 251 Meeting Street, while Malika can be found at 1333 Theater Drive in Mount Pleasant.
