Lowcountry Food Bank's (LCFB) 27th annual Chefs' Feast event, held on Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, raised more than $640,000, a new fundraising record for the event. The event was held at the Trident Technical College Thornley Campus in North Charleston. Chefs' Feast has become one of Charleston's largest charitable events.
Nearly 500 community partners and guests attended the event to unite our community in pursuit of equitable, dignified, and consistent access to food. All proceeds from Chefs' Feast support Lowcountry Food Bank's childhood feeding programs.
Presented by Atlas Tech and emcee Dave Williams, ABC News 4 Chief Meteorologist, Chefs' Feast is a collaboration between the Lowcountry Food Bank and 35 of the community's most celebrated chefs, who served delectable bites for guests to enjoy. Guests participated in a live auction and met the Lowcountry's own celebrity chefs as they served up signature dishes.
For the ninth consecutive year, Chef Jacques Larson, Executive Chef of the Obstinate Daughter and Wild Olive, served as Chefs' Feast Lead Chef.
Chef Robert Carter, who founded Chefs' Feast in 1999, whom our community lost in 2025, was honored by his sons, Benjamin and Harrison, and by all participating chefs at the event. The Charleston-area community lost a great chef last year when Chef Carter passed away. His sons carry on the tradition of providing help to those in need.
The slate of participating 2026 Chefs' Feast restaurants included 82 Queen, Acme Lowcountry Kitchen, Aramark at Charleston Southern University, Burwell's Stone Fire Grill, Bob Carter's Consulting, Church & Union & The Tempest, Circa 1886, Cru Catering, Culinary Institute of Charleston at Trident Technical College, Duvall Catering and Events, The Establishment, Fleet Landing, Frannie & the Fox, Grace & Grit, Hank's Seafood, Jackrabbit Filly & King BBQ, The Kingstide, Kultura, Kwei Fei & Beautiful South, La Cave, Lowcountry Food Bank, Magnolias, Martin's BBQ, Ms. Rose's, The Obstinate Daughter, The River Course - Kiawah Island Club, Salthouse Catering, The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Resort, SNOB, Swig & Swine, Talucci's, and Wild Olive, and Zero George.
"We should not forget that there are a growing number of families in the Lowcountry struggling to make ends meet," said Nick Osborne, Lowcountry Food Bank President and CEO. "Families that must make almost impossible decisions between paying for a roof over their heads or paying for food for their family. Let’s make a difference in their lives tonight."
In 2026, food insecurity across our ten-county service area is projected to grow by nearly 20,000 neighbors, bringing the total to more than 204,000 people who face hunger—an alarming 55.6% increase over just three years. Families continue to face rising costs for essentials like groceries, rent, utilities, medical care, and gasoline, while cuts in funding to critical federal programs such as SNAP place additional strain on our food banking system.
"Community support for Chefs' Feast is essential to ensure our childhood feeding programs and other services can meet the growing need,” Osborne continued. “We remain unwavering in our commitment to listen to our neighbors, respond to their changing needs, and ensure every person we serve is treated with dignity and respect—so they, too, can be active participants and contributors to a nourished and thriving coastal South Carolina."
Unfortunately, one in five children in the Lowcountry experiences food insecurity. For 27 years, LCFB has depended on Chefs' Feast to fund its childhood hunger programs. Proceeds from Chefs' Feast benefit Kids Café, Backpack Buddies, School Market, School Pantry, Summer Meals, and Kids in the Kitchen Nutrition Education - which alleviate after-school, weekend and summer hunger for children.
