Lou Lou’s Tavern is partnering with Charleston-based High Wire Distilling for “The Distiller’s Table,” a one-night-only culinary experience on Thursday, Oct. 8.
The event will be held at 6 p.m. on the patio at Lou Lou’s Tavern on the Tracks, 1640 Meeting St.
The evening will bring together Lou Lou’s culinary team, Patrick Murphy and Alex Anderson, and High Wire Distilling for a chef-inspired, four-course dinner. Each course will be paired with a High Wire spirit selected to complement the flavors of the dish.
Throughout the dinner, High Wire Master Distiller Alexander Helms will guide guests through each pairing, offering insight into the spirits’ ingredients, production and craftsmanship while sharing stories behind the distillery’s work.
“We partnered with High Wire because they share a deep love and appreciation of community that we foster at Lou Lou’s Tavern,” owner Dave Lorenz said. “The Distiller’s Table is an opportunity to slow down and experience the connection between the kitchen and the distillery, but also the people we share the table with.”
Helms said the dinner will feature High Wire’s Jimmy Red Bourbon paired with Lou Lou’s dishes. He will also discuss the revival of Jimmy Red corn, the history of High Wire Distilling and its bourbon production.
“This special dinner will provide guests the unique opportunity to enjoy a bespoke lineup of High Wire Jimmy Red Bourbon paired with Lou Lou’s delicious cuisine,” Helms said.
Seating is limited, and advance ticket purchase is required. Tickets are available through Resy.
