Life Raft Treats, a local ice cream and sweets company, recently announced that its signature “Not Fried Chicken” ice cream can be purchased by Major League Baseball fans at Yankee Stadium in New York this season.
The Yankees are offering it as the Mini Dessert “Chicken” Bucket. It resembles a pair of fried chicken drumsticks, but is actually ice cream with a chocolate-covered pretzel “bone” center, coated in white chocolate and candied cornflakes to create a fried chicken appearance. It is served in a souvenir mini “chicken” bucket.
Life Raft Treats was founded by Cynthia Wong, a six-time James Beard Foundation Award semifinalist for outstanding pastry chef.
