Holy City Hospitality will host two fringe events taking place during Charleston Wine + Food. Each will be held on Thursday, March 1st at Vincent Chicco's and 39 Rue de Jean.
Vincent Chicco’s will host “Undiscovered Italy,” a drop-in wine tasting and discussion focused on six little-known Italian wine varietals, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm. Accompanied by cheese and charcuterie appetizers, the wine tastings will include one sparkling, three white, and two red varietals. Alessandro Guarino, CEO and President of Impero Wines, and Andres Contreras, Charleston City Paper's Best Sommelier, will be onsite to lead the open discussion, answer questions, and educate guests on the event's unique wines of Italy.

Meanwhile, 39 Rue de Jean will host a 5 course dinner with Saintsbury wine pairings at 6 pm. Each course on the menu will be curated by Chef Justin Rambo-Garwood with wine pairings by Andres Contreras. Philippa Ward will be the evening’s guest. She is the daughter of Richard Ward, co-founder and owner of Saintsbury Winery.
