The teams from Halls Chophouse Charleston and Halls Chophouse Nexton will partner with plush brand GUND for the first Teddy Bear Lunch on Saturday, June 6. Inspired by “Bearsy,” a GUND Toothpick bear that was left behind at Halls Chophouse and later reunited with its family, the event will benefit children at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.
Guests are invited to a family-friendly lunch experience. For every ticket sold, Halls Chophouse will donate a portion of proceeds, and GUND will provide a Forever Friend plush to a child at the hospital.
“We were inspired by the community’s response to Bearsy’s story and their help reuniting a child with his teddy bear,” said Tommy Hall, principal at Hall Management Group. “We’re excited to partner with GUND to bring joy and comfort to children at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.”
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., guests will enjoy a special lunch prepared by the Halls Chophouse culinary team. Children attending the event can participate in activities, including making cards for hospital patients, and will receive a GUND Forever Friend to take home. Each plush includes a QR code that allows owners to register it and helps reunite lost toys with their owners.
Tickets are $25 for children ages 12 and under and include a prix fixe menu, dessert and a GUND Forever Friend. Adult tickets are $50 and include a two-course prix fixe menu, dessert and the donation of a GUND plush to a child at MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.
