The inaugural Summerville Wine & Food Festival has added one of the Lowcountry’s most recognized restaurants to its culinary lineup, with Halls Chophouse Nexton joining the Festival on Saturday, October 17 at The Pickle Bar.
Since opening its original Charleston location in 2009, Halls Chophouse has become an institution in the Lowcountry dining scene, known for its hospitality, culinary excellence and longstanding connection to the Charleston community. The Halls family expanded to Summerville with Halls Chophouse Nexton in 2019, bringing one of Charleston’s best-known restaurant names to the growing Summerville culinary scene.
“We’re excited to be part of the inaugural Summerville Wine & Food Festival and to celebrate the incredible food, wine and hospitality that continues to grow throughout the Summerville community,” said Chuck Isenberg, General Manager at Halls Chophouse Nexton. “Executive Chef Jim Primeau will be onsite in October, bringing a taste of Halls to the table and celebrating everything we love about dining in Summerville.”

To have Chef Jim and the Halls team participate in the inaugural year of the Summerville Wine & Food Festival is a big deal for us, and we’re fortunate to have them be part of it.”
The Summerville Wine & Food Festival will bring together local chefs, wineries from around the world and live music for an afternoon celebrating great food, wine and community. Each participating chef will offer a tasting bite, while featured wines will be available for sampling throughout the Festival.
With Early Bird tickets now sold out, General Admission tickets are on sale for $65 and include a commemorative tasting glass, 10 wine tasting tickets, six chef tasting tickets, live music and access to Festival experiences including the Bubble Bar.
