This Father’s Day (Sunday, June 15), Lowcountry Pizza Fest, "The Largest Pizza Party in the City," will be held at The Refinery in downtown Charleston. The celebration is being hosted by Christine England of Lowcountry Eat Out! and Mike Piterra, US Pizza Team + Owner of Pizza Modo Mio.
The family-friendly event will bring together local and regional pizza vendors, interactive pizza-themed games, live performances, and charitable giving—all centered around one of America’s most beloved food: pizza.
Highlights of the event include:
- Pizza Eating Contest
- Largest Dough Stretch Competition
- Dad’s Cheesiest Joke Contest
- US Pizza Acrobatic Team
Limited VIP tickets will allow guests to enter one hour early at 11 a.m. VIP is 21+ and includes access to the Limbo Lounge, The Refinery's newest indoor event space with private bathrooms and air conditioning. One drink ticket is also included. General admission begins at 12 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Slice Out Hunger, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity through the power of pizza. Since its founding, Slice Out Hunger has raised over $2 million to support food kitchens, school lunch programs, homeless shelters, and disaster relief across the U.S.
“We’re excited to bring the community together for a fun, family-focused event that also gives back in a big way,” said England. “What better way to celebrate dads—and pizza—than by supporting a cause that feeds hope and spreads joy?”
