The Elizabeth Gamble Foundation, in partnership with CentreWell Primary Healthcare and Elite Tax Group, announced the first-ever Great Turkey Drop — a day dedicated to giving back to the seniors and guardians who make the community strong.
The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Charleston Athletic Center, 5794 Casper Padgett Way.
This inaugural celebration of gratitude will serve more than 300 seniors and guardians from across the Tri-County area, while supplies last. Attendees can register onsite the day of the event, and a drive-up line will be available for those unable to stand or drive.
The event is made possible thanks to the generosity of founding sponsors: American Eagle Health Insurance, Publix, Biggby Coffee, Elite Tax Group, Palmetto Juice Company, and the City of North Charleston.
“We call it The Great Turkey Drop for Our Most Beloved Neighbors because it’s more than just giving out food — it’s about honoring those who’ve poured so much into our communities,” said Tea Hines, founder of the Elizabeth Gamble Foundation. “Each turkey we hand out is a token of gratitude, love, and connection as we enter the holiday season.”
The Great Turkey Drop reflects the foundation’s ongoing commitment to service, compassion, and community unity, ensuring that every senior and guardian feels remembered and valued during the Thanksgiving season.
Local businesses, churches, and residents are invited to donate, volunteer, or sponsor the event. Corporate sponsors are encouraged to partner with the foundation to help expand its reach and impact.
