As Epic Hospitality prepares to open Lou Lou’s Tavern on the Tracks at The Refinery, the team is extending an invitation to Charleston’s creative community.
Founders Dave and Chrissy Lorenz are inviting local artists to contribute to a curated art wall that will live at the center of the restaurant, creating a visual expression of the city’s energy and perspective.
“At Epic, the spaces we build have always reflected more than just food and drink,” said Dave Lorenz, co-founder of Epic Hospitality. “Art has always been part of that. With Lou Lou’s, we wanted to make that connection more intentional and create space for local artists to be part of the experience.”
The installation will feature a limited collection of approximately 20 pieces from Charleston-based artists, with the intention of evolving over time. Rather than a static display, the art wall is designed as a living element within the restaurant, growing alongside the community it represents.
“For us, this is personal,” said Chrissy Lorenz, co-founder of Epic Hospitality. “Art has always been part of how we build, and this is a way to bring that into the space in a more visible way.”
Located at The Refinery, Lou Lou’s Tavern on the Tracks is set to open this spring as a modern, music-driven tavern built around shared dining, a dynamic bar program, and an atmosphere that transitions into late night.
