On Wednesday, October 7th from 5 pm until 7 pm, downtown hot spot Edmund’s Oast will partner with Slow Food Charleston to host a Slow Sips Happy Hour in The Bower.
Local and regionally inspired beer and cocktails will be available during the event with 10% of all sales benefiting Slow Food Charleston, a non-profit chapter of the international organization Slow Food USA.
The Happy Hour menu includes:
Cocktails
- Chatham Artillery Punch: bourbon, brandy, rum, lemon shrub, bubbly
- O lde Thyme Punch: bourbon, rum, madeira, lemon shrub, nutmeg, thyme
Beer
- Edmund's Oast Cararosa: sour wheat brewed with 400lbs of local peaches and 100lbs of local blueberries, 4/1% ABV
- Edmund's Oast Lord Proprietor's Mild: an English-style mild brewed with black tea from the Charleston Tea Plantation, toasty with notes of nuts, cocoa bean, tea and a delicate breadiness, 3.5% ABV
Slow Food Charleston has been active for over eight years and during this time, has mainly focused on preserving and sharing the love of local foods and Lowcountry traditions.
