Downtown Nexton is excited to announce the grand opening of the newest business in its growing mixed-use, urban-inspired development, Discount Liquors. The retailer will officially open its doors to the Summerville community on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Discount Liquors is the fourth liquor store owned and operated by South Carolina resident Akash Patel.
“Summerville is growing, and I saw a great opportunity to expand my business,” says Patel. “We plan to continue expanding with additional stores in the area, but Downtown Nexton was the perfect place to enter the Lowcountry market and establish our first location in the Summerville area.”
Discount Liquors will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Located on the ground floor of Lofts Downtown Nexton, the business will be a convenient addition to the current roster of retailers, including iNails, Revive Health Studio Summerville, Clean Your Dirty Face, and Rita’s Italian Ice. Additional businesses and restaurants, including Neat & Noble Bourbon Bar and more, are coming soon to the community in 2026.
