Charleston Wine + Food (CHSWF) announced the launch of its 2026 Festival Candle, created in partnership with local artisan brand Charleston Candle Co. The launch coincides with Charleston Wine + Food’s 20th year, and the limited-edition candle offers a sensory preview of the upcoming festival, celebrating Charleston’s culinary culture, creative community, and commitment to supporting local makers.
Hand-poured in Charleston, the 2026 Festival Candle was thoughtfully designed to capture the spirit of the festival — from the warmth of shared tables to the energy of the city’s food and beverage scene. The collaboration brings together two beloved Charleston brands with a shared mission: honoring craftsmanship, creativity, and community connection.
“This candle is more than a piece of festival merchandise — it’s an extension of the Charleston Wine + Food experience,” said Alyssa Maute Smith, Executive Director, Charleston Wine + Food. “Partnering with Charleston Candle Co. allows us to celebrate a local maker while giving our community a tangible way to experience the spirit of the festival before it even begins.”
Charleston Candle Co., known for its thoughtfully crafted, design-forward candles, worked closely with the CHSWF team to develop a scent and presentation that reflects the heart of the festival and the city it calls home.
“At Charleston Candle Co., we’re always inspired by collaborations that tell a meaningful story,” said Kristen Schwiers, Founder of Charleston Candle Co. “Working with Charleston Wine + Food on the 2026 Festival Candle was a natural fit — it’s about celebrating Charleston, supporting the local creative community, and creating something that feels personal, intentional, and rooted in place.”
The 2026 Festival Candle will be available for purchase beginning January 2026, with availability leading up to and during the Charleston Wine + Food Festival. Proceeds from candle sales help support CHSWF’s year-round programming and nonprofit mission.
