Charleston Wine + Food (CHSWF) announces the return of Summer Sizzle, an annual event series celebrating Charleston’s vibrant culinary community through a lineup of immersive experiences from June through August. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11 a.m. ET via chswf.org.
Now in its third year, Summer Sizzle continues Charleston Wine + Food’s year-round mission of celebrating and supporting the chefs, beverage professionals, farmers, fishermen, and hospitality teams that shape Charleston’s culinary community.
This year’s lineup features 15 events spanning collaborative dinners, bar takeovers, and hands-on classes and workshops hosted at some of Charleston’s most notable restaurants and venues.
“Over the last few summers, we’ve seen firsthand how much people love connecting with the chefs and beverage professionals behind these experiences," says Alyssa Maute Smith, Executive Director of Charleston Wine + Food. “This year’s lineup leans even further into those intimate style events, while also celebrating the ingredients and flavors that define summer in the Lowcountry.”
Highlights from this year’s Summer Sizzle lineup include:
- Mother’s Ruin x Barrel Proof Presented by Fords Gin: A spirited bar takeover at Charleston’s newest cocktail haunt Mother’s Ruin, featuring New Orleans favorite Barrel Proof.
- Summer in the Lowcountry with Kelly Franz: A hands-on Lowcountry cooking class with Kelly Franz, Culinary Director of Magnolias, focused on the region’s most beloved summer dishes: crab cakes and succotash.
- Edmund’s Original x The Hope Farm x Little Bird: A dinner party at Edmund’s Original featuring James Beard Semifinalists The Hope Farm + Little Bird for a one-night-only collaboration between chefs Bob Cook, Leonel Velazquez, and Bill Briand.
- Halls Bourbon Lunch Presented by Jack Daniel’s: A bourbon-paired lunch experience from Halls Signature Events and Jack Daniel’s featuring Barrel Maturation Manager and Master Taster Byron Copeland.
- Wine + Punk Rock (Vol. 2): The return of Wine + Punk Rock, an unconventional wine tasting-meets-listening party featuring chefs David Schuttenberg, Juan Cassalett, and Jill Mathias.
Charleston Wine + Food welcomed more than 22,000 attendees and generated over $22 million in economic impact for the region during its 20th anniversary festival this past March. Summer Sizzle carries that momentum beyond festival season, continuing the organization’s investment in Charleston’s hospitality industry through year-round programming and events.
