Certified Sommelier Sarah O’Kelley will host a series of wine classes at Wine & Company (wine bar and shop) this coming fall. This will be a tour of France’s major regions. The classes are perfect for those contemplating taking an entry-level wine certification or for anyone just looking to enhance their wine aptitude or plan a trip.
There will be three classes focused on key French wine regions: Burgundy, the Loire Valley, and Bordeaux. The classes will offer insight into history, geography, geology, and culture. With each class you will taste four outstanding wines, enjoy a small snack, and receive a well developed information packet (with maps).
They will be offered from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. one Saturday per month (see schedule below).
The cost is $50 per class, but hospitality industry employees receive a 50% discount. The discount is limited to those actively working in restaurants, bars, hotels, wine sales, etc.
